Signé Chaos est l’évocation d’un début du monde, quand, à la sortie du volcan, les mares de lave se figent au contact de l’air froid, laissant encore apparaître quelques coulées en fusion d’où émerge un trésor scintillant en bronze, tel une signature, un cachet antique à tout jamais marqué par le feu et l’air .

Signé Chaos c’est aussi un motif que Françoise Bergaglia, Interracotta utilise depuis quelques temps déjà pour marquer son grès de profondes encoches, langage imaginaire géométrique et sculptural inspiré des écritures cunéiformes qui ne cessent de la fasciner.

Signé Chaos c’est enfin une expérimentation entre le grès et le bronze menée de concert avec Françoise Bergaglia pour lier ces deux matières des Arts du Feu, avec une lecture double du motif, le positif et le négatif : le cartouche en bronze a été en effet coulé directement sur une pièces Chaos en grès de Interracotta, révélant ainsi en relief l’autre visage de sa gravure. De la pièce originale en grès il ne reste rien, si ce n’est poussière et fragments dispersés, comme après une explosion volcanique…

Signé Chaos evokes the beginning of the world, when lava pools freeze on contact with the cold air as the volcano emerges, revealing a few molten flows from which a glittering bronze treasure emerges, like a signature, an ancient seal forever marked by fire and air.

Signé Chaos is also a motif that Françoise Bergaglia, Interracotta, has been using for some time now to mark her stoneware with deep notches, an imaginary geometric and sculptural language inspired by the cuneiform scriptures that never cease to fascinate her.

Finally, Signé Chaos is an experiment between stoneware and bronze, carried out in collaboration with Françoise Bergaglia to link these two materials of the Arts du Feu, with a double reading of the motif, the positive and the negative: the bronze cartouche was in fact cast directly onto a Chaos stoneware piece by Interracotta, thus revealing in relief the other face of its engraving. Nothing remains of the original sandstone piece except dust and scattered fragments, as if after a volcanic explosion…
