Nicole ROUX – President of the CFMA: “Couturiers, Master Glassmakers, Jewelers, Ironworkers, Ceramists, Sculptors, Florists… highlight the diversity of Crafts in France. Art and Matter… Art and Manner. The craftsman becomes an artist as soon as he rediscovers tradition and decides on the form and color to give to the new object he designs and manufactures. Driven by the desire to transmit the know-how inherited from their Masters, the Artisans d’Art practice professions of passion that arouse admiration. Their fantasy, the precision and the variety of their talents deserve that we linger over them. Beyond their exceptional know-how, they are the ambassadors of the French authenticity that is dear to us. Promoting techniques, disseminating works and exchanges between the public and artists, the “De Main de Maître” Exhibition is also an opportunity to arouse or concretize nascent vocations.
