In Greek mythology, Gaia is a primordial goddess identified with the Mother Goddess; in ancient Greek, Gaia means “Mother Earth”.
She is a divinity, the very essence of the universal soul who, depending on the culture and the era, will be present in one form or another.
This round, hand-crafted sculpture casts its shadows thanks to the light that passes through it. It invites you to merge with the energy of the world and to let the deep essence of your being shine through, thanks to the different shades it brings to light, sometimes black-brown like the Earth’s core, sometimes light-scintillating like the reflected rays of the sun.

This is one of the first works created by Marion Saussier.
Here, the break is magnified and celebrated, like the radiant tip of a precious sun’s rays.
Planted in this giant ball of clay and enamelled in a blue-grey that recalls the colour of the sky, the bronze rompures, alive and vibrant, spring towards the light.

Split open, this round object reveals chiselled material inside. Bronze flakes – filings – come to life, reflecting the light like a precious stone released from the rock.
“There’s a kind of lightness and grace in the simple fact of existing, beyond our occupations, beyond our strong feelings, beyond our commitments, and that’s what I wanted to capture. This little extra that we all have: the salt of life…“. Françoise Héritier, The Salt of Life.
This book is a meditation on all those little pleasures that make up “the salt of life”. This sculpture was created as a tribute to this book. This object symbolises the salt of life, the salt of the earth, the salt in the palm of our hands…

Work on the movement, in particular the reflection of light. The majestic bronze puddles from the manufacture lend themselves wonderfully to this exercise.
Once they had all been assembled for polishing and shaping, they appeared light and airy, like leaves carried by the wind. It then became natural to create a work that was as upright as a tree but as mobile as foliage, whose radiance is revealed with each movement and according to the time of day.
Arbre Céleste was born of this desire to connect with nature and the most beautiful thing it has to offer: its light.

This bronze wall jewel is like a whirlpool created on the surface of foam. The bronze’s robe casts golden reflections and its movement draws us into its centre.
Presented in this way, the material appears to be bubbling, almost molten, very much alive. It’s like an ode to life and its movements, transporting us into a joyous whirlwind.

“I love bronze puddles. Coming from our foundry, they’re all different. They inspire me unconditionally and my imaginative mind always sees something in them that makes me want to sublimate them.
This one’s almost shaped like Paris! Don’t you think? The bronze lettering we make reminds you of that…”.

“When I saw these overflowing spoon hearts, I immediately saw two eyes! I wanted to link art and spirituality, as I often do in my creations, by imagining this sculpture as a way of looking at the world. Connecting, like the basis of our profession. Like a wink!

“This sculpture combines my two favourite materials: two sublime bronze puddles assembled on a burnt wooden base, yakisughi. Like the way it’s made, for me it’s a question of connection, of the link between heaven and earth. The puddle in a vertical position reminds me of Corsica, that proud and beautiful island that, standing on its cape, seems to want to touch the sky. In resonance, my idea was to show the repercussions on Earth with a second puddle impacted by the energy and vibration of the first”.
