Description

“This sculpture combines my two favourite materials: two sublime bronze puddles assembled on a burnt wooden base, the yakisughi. Like its shaping, it is here for me, a question of connection, of reliance between the sky and the earth. The puddle in a vertical position reminds me of Corsica; this beautiful and proud island, which, standing upright, with its cape seems to want to touch the sky. In resonance, my idea was to show the repercussions on the Earth with a second puddle impacted by the energy and vibration of the first.”
