On the occasion of Paris Design Week, I am very happy to present the fruit of my collaboration with Atelier George.
A year ago, Eve and I had the idea of creating a meeting between our materials to create tableware pieces that would enhance my workshop memories through the intervention of glass.
Cast and mouth-blown by Atelier George, this series of objects contains at its heart a fragment of Maison Alivon frozen in glass and which is revealed sometimes in the form of an orangeade set, sometimes in an exceptional spirits service. A tribute and a nod to the core business of Maison Alivon, we loved imagining objects that would take the imprint of the workshop’s residual materials and give them a new use.
A manufacturer of marking tools and characters, Maison Alivon has been giving life to palettes, fonts, fleurons and gilding irons that have enhanced works, correspondence or precious objects since 1812. It is the turn of glass to mark bronze and reveal its most beautiful stories.
The pieces from this superb collection were exhibited at the Bureau de la Mode, des Métiers d’Art et du Design on September 15 and 16 as part of the “Concevoir” exhibition and as well as in the Concept Store Empreintes as part of the “Re-création” exhibition ✨
Available to order on my online store or on Instagram from the @maisonalivon_editions account, each of these creations is handmade and customizable.
